Where someone types his thoughts out on a computer. Again.

So, I went on a school trip to the Globe Theatre yesterday to see The Merry Wives of Windsor. We went at about 9 in the morning, and came back at about 10 past 9 at night. Was it worth it?

Yes - the performance was brilliant. The "ye olde" language is easy to vaguely understand, and you will at least know all of the main characters by Act 2, but that pervious set of words sounds trite and pessimistic. The play was done with such energy and charisma, I thought one or two might explode. There was something for everyone - sometimes, I just laughed because they said the word "sperm", but also got a confusingly-worded sentence from a stereotypical Frenchman threatening to cut someone's nuts off (shows you how deep my sense of humour goes ). When it rained a bit, as it did, Mistress Ford just out a modern plastic umbrella out and carried on like it was part of the play. The other guy (damn, forgot his name already) didn't have one, so he had to get wet. I was under a seat under the side awnings, to the left of the stage. Not comfortable, but the play's the thing.

What? You don't know the plot or anything? Boo, go Google it. Or, if you're still reading, "Fat man gets rejected Tudor-style three times, and there's some love bits in as well." It looks confusing when in type, but watch it and you'll get it quicker. Sadly, I still can't remember which is Nym and which is Pistol. I'll have to look in the library.

As an added bonus, the guy who played John Falstaff also played the wheelchair bloke in that Doctor Who episode - you know, the silly one with the giant wasp. Yeah, Christopher Benjamin's done loads. Check it out.

So, I highly reccomend it, and hope any English/Brit/whatevers reading this will go see it. You'll have to pay for the tickets. I didn't, they were paid for by the Ilkeston Partnership.

Oh, and in relation to the title, please don't shake my sphere. I don't know where it is, or if I've got one.
